Christmas Eve

We have discovered, in a new Country, some new traditions are in order.

This year we tried to mix some new with some old.

Christmas Eve we decided to do something new.
Ok, really it wasn't that much of a stretch for us...
We went to Disneyland.
At Hong Kong Disney they really try to make it magical.
Hong Kong is a very tropical place, doesn't get THAT cold in the dead of winter, so snow is just not heard of.  Well, that is EXCEPT at Hong Kong Disney!
It isn't exactly 'real' snow, but it is magical none-the-less.

So, we grabbed the kids and our Duffy bears and set out for a fun Christmas Eve Dinner and delightful new Christmas eve tradition of Disney snow.

Oh My GOSH!  Can you say CUTENESS?
Todd has been TRYING to take me to see the BIG Duffy all month,
but every time he has been gone!
Not this time.
I was SO excited, probably more than I should be.
I might have actually scared the BIG Duffy with how excited I was.
The long line was worth the wait!

An extra special thing, the kids all ate and enjoyed dinner!
YAY!  PRICELESS

There are very few Chinese food places that don't have MSG laden food.
Disney's Chinese restaurant is one of the few without MSG, which causes me MUCH joy!

 Snow!

The kids loved it, even if we weren't sure what the snow really was made of.
soap, foam, magical pixy dust.  I don't know, but not H20 for sure.

Mainstreet was busy with people enjoying.

Oh, Super sized Christmas Tree!!

You are welcome, Disney!

Once we got home we attempted one of our old traditions.
You know the one.
The one where you get to open just ONE gift early on Christmas Eve,
and it is Jammies!
There was only one problem....
We could NOT find Jammies Anywhere! Not even at the U.S. outlet stores.
Argh.
Do people just sleep nakey here???

They do have thermals, so that would have to work! Ha ha!

We got cozy, ate treats and watched the CREEPIEST Scrooge movie ever.

We don't have any of our traditional movies out here, so the kids tried to rent one.  The only one they could find was this Jim Carey animated one.  It was still fun, but man was it a bit weird and creepy...
