Christmas - 2010

Merry Christmas to Everyone!!!
I hope that everyone had a great holiday!
Kids last day before break at school.

The week before Christmas it rained for days on end, and I coughed endlessly.
Very frustrating.   We had purchased tickets to a play in Arizona (the Forgotten Carols),
and planned on a trip out there around it.  Only one problem, besides the fact I could NOT stop coughing, it was raining HARD.  It wasn't super safe to drive in the storm, but worst yet is our dogs are TERRIFIED of being in the car when it rains, and if you turn on the windshield wipers - you might as well kiss Honey-dog good bye.   Honey shakes so violently at the thought of driving in the car while it is raining, taking her wasn't feasible.  So, as the day of the play drew closer and the rain was NOT stopping, we didn't think we would be able to make it.   Long story short, Todd took me to the doctor the morning of the play, Logan wanted to stay home and watch the pets with a friend, the rain lightened a bit, and we decided last minute to just do it!  We made it to the play on a wing and a prayer with probably a minute to spare, maybe!
My Dad was able to meet us there (we had a ticket for him too), and it was wonderful.
Other than me coughing all night and keeping everyone awake (sorry about that), and returning the very next morning, we had a great time.   We are going to make our best effort to go back for New Year's Eve, since we didn't have time to visit and Logan wasn't there.

The Forgotten Carols were amazing!

After we got home we got ready for Christmas.
Yes, we finally decorated the tree!
I couldn't quite find all my Christmas decorations.
Including the stockings...
and I didn't feel good, and didn't want to go through boxes,
so we had an arts and craft night on Christmas eve.
Everyone decorated their own stocking - it was really fun actually!

We, also, made tons of cookies and decorated them 'til midnight!
Oh, and we can't forget -
our open ONE present on Christmas EVE tradition
(yes, always Jams)

It was a wonderful, peaceful, happy Christmas eve!

Christmas morning - Todd made my favorite Pecan rolls
and I made hash browns and an egg casserole
that cooked while we opened presents.

Grama was able to come for brunch!

Logan's Varsity Jacket came in on Christmas EVE for an extra surprise!
Santa Brought EVERYONE presents!

Merry Christmas from our house to yours!

Bonus:  We discovered where the clouds come from

Birthday & other stuff

I have had a bad case of Bronchitis the last couple of weeks, and am NOW finally feeling better...  After Todd insisted I go to the doctor and got me on some antibiotics.  I really, really hate being sick, and even more than that - hate going to the doctor...  But, Yay - I can now breathe without coughing and can sleep, which means everyone else can sleep too!  I hate coughing... ugh...

Anyhow, on the 13th -
I turned 37 yo.

I  am actually excited about this birthday!
Thirty - seven sounds cool.  (:
Even though, I wasn't feeling superty we had some fun.
Over the weekend...
We had the opportunity to see one of Todd's old cast mate friends,
from his high school plays, perform in our old stomping grounds.
A couple other old friends were able to attend as well!
The play was by my Mom's house, so she was able to attend with us.
She even had a cake for me!
 It was awesome.

Todd took me shopping for a couple of hours,
and bought me the cutest boots and an outfit!
So sweet, especially considering how much he loves shopping.

We enjoyed the beautiful weather with the kids.

Love their outfits!
On my birthday (Monday) we kidnapped the kids from school
and
Spent my birthday at Disneyland!

 Yay! So fun...
My Dad & Todd gave me beautiful roses!  They smelled wonderful!

All-in-all, it was a great birthday!

Bonus:  Ok, so remember Krystin's special cake fell on it's face?  Well, we felt bad, so we surprised her with a little lizard cup cake!  She loved it. (:

Cross Country Banquet!!!

Last night was the end of season Cross Country Banquet.
A time to recognize and celebrate the hard work and accomplishments of our runners!
It is a 'formal' kind of affair.
It was held at the Laguna Cliffs Marriot in Dana Point, nice!
The night began with dinner,
while the video that consumed the better part of my last 3 weeks played...
Then awards were delivered!

Krystin with her team receiving their certificates!
Logan wasn't given a certificate with his team, however...
 because ... He was awarded
HIS VARSITY LETTER!!!
Logan and Coach Dollar!
Logan worked SOOO hard this season to earn that letter,
and we couldn't be more PROUD of HIM!!!

Kayla even came to support them, through the 4 1/2 hour banquet!

Great JOB Logan & Krystin!

Daddy & I can't wait for TRACK to start!!!

We love all three of you!
Thanks for being awesome!
