Currently life is busy
(ok, it is always, right?)
Curious what a day in the HK life looks like.
Well, here is a glimpse....
5:45am - Tamara wakes up, showers
6:00am - Logan magically appears at our flat and showers (his school uniforms are over here, cause I iron them for him)
6:15ish- Krystin wakes up
6:45am- Todd wakes up, morning prayers with kids
6:50am - Kids catch the bus to the MTR (take three trains, walk 10 mins)
8:00am - Kids arrive at school
From 6:45am-8:45am - Todd (showers), Todd & Tammy feed birds, walk dogs, do lizard care as needed, eat breakfast/
9:00am - Todd goes to work
9-11:45am(ish) - Tamara cleans the house, irons, juices birds, acts as animal jungle gym, laundry, etc...
12:-1p (ish) - Todd and Tammy have lunch (YAYYYY!!), sometimes Kay joins us
1-6pm - Todd works, Tamara (and Kayla usually) do grocery shopping and get errands done, which is not a small task. Nothing is close or convenient, and a trolley is usually involved, which btw I am the worst trolley driver EVER. I am always taking people out with that thing. Oh my...
6:30pm - Dinner time (either at home, via Momma or out)
-Also, bird feeding time and Ember
5-9pm - Krystin and Logan come home from school. (Tues and Thurs they meet with a track coach in Aberdeen about 1hour 45 mins from home to train).
9pm- who knows when - Kids do home work. (It is not uncommon for them to only get 4 hours of sleep.)
11pm - Tamara tries to go to sleep
In January, Kayla's schedule is set to be a lot more busy. She will be attending University which happens to be near Logan and Krystin's high school. :)
So that was what a typical day in the life is like.
Here are some recent pics.
Still in shock that this little face is 16!
Indy RUDELY put her bootiee in her Daddy's face! ha
Kay and I were doing errands, and 'magically' out of all the bazillion train cars that go constantly and all the different spots to get on walked right into Krystin and Logan! They never leave at the same time, so you couldn't have tried to surprise them if you wanted to. It was pretty awesome!
Todd went local and put a bag on his hand, which is all the rage out here, to eat his greasy food. He said it did a good job!
We watched it snow at Disney (in about 75 degrees F)
Kay got a new hat, from a street side person.
Todd got me my first Christmas decoration out here.
A little Christmas Duffy, cute!
Hong Kong is a very affectionate place.
Almost every time I am on the metro, there is a couple cuddling.
Awwww
PS see the trolley (aka device of destruction)
to the left bottom of the picture.
We saw the Life of Pi!
Loved it, well done!
Kay wanted to ride on the boat too.
Thought of my sis.
It has been raining A LOT for the last two weeks.
We have tried to explain this fact to the little furrchildren.
AKA no walkies. It is raining.
They won't hear of it, so they get regular showers now.
Well, that's it for now!
Until next time!!
Oh, and Happy December!!!
