Happy Halloween!

Halloween - 2011

Todd and I had a party to go to.
This year Todd picked our costumes.

He was the Big Bad Wolf (after the full moon had set)
I was Little Red ....

He was VERY Scary!

Being that Todd was the Big Bad Wolf...
I thought it would be funny if the kids were the three little piggies.
They humored me for ONE picture, only!

Before the party, that Saturday morning early
A Miracle occurred.

Logan and Krystin Both had XC Practice
at the same time
and the same LOCATION!
Hard to believe!
The girl's team ran in costume.

Later we went to the
Ralph's Grocery Store - Pumpkin Patch!

Logan spent more than 4 hours working on his.
Yes.  It is true.
We started decorating cookies without him,
and apparently I still have not unpacked my Halloween cookie cutters,
so we just decorated round cookies.

Finally, our pumpkin family was complete!

The kids dressed up for school.

Little Bo Peep

Logan was a Rock Star

Kayla was an Old Fashioned Cow Girl

After school,
I had Special Halloween Treats for them.
(didn't come out quite as I intended, but the kids loved them!)

The Dogs were PSYCHED for Halloween too!

I dressed up to pass out candy,
and the kids did actually go trick-or-treating.

My Kids

The kid's friend Alex came to hang with them.
(Yes, Krystin is wearing fangs, yah don't know?)

Our street was pretty quiet, not many visitors.
But, the dogs waited patiently to greet them.

All-in-all,
A Fun Halloween
Even if we are all super tired!

Oh, and last but not least...

Happy 3rd Birthday
to our Little Lily Pup!

4am...

I thought the 5am weekday wake-up time was bad.  The kids have zero period.  4am on a Saturday is worse...  Really, it is.

Today was the final race,
before League finals.
Only one more race.

It was held at the INFAMOUS
Mt. SAC College Campus
(with no traffic about 45 mins from our house)

We drove the kids separately from the bus, and stayed all day.

Logan's Race - 7:17am (first Capo race)
Krystin's Race - 12:50pm (last Capo race, of course!)

When we arrived at the school it was dark and FREEZING -
Like, 50 degrees.. BRRR

I mean it was DARK AND COLD!
 BRRRR

The sun was just barely up when Logan was to race!
SO COLD!

Last sip of water before the race.
How they can drink and run with water cramps is beyond me,
but they can and do.

It was a great race and Logan was awesome!

Hanging
 Getting a bit silly
I mean we only had almost 6 hours til the next race...

This is a HUGE event.
People from all over are there.
So... They have  booths to check out.
One of which is the Marines booth.
They always have a pull-up bar and if you can do so many pull-ups they give you a shirt.
Well, if you are a guy.
Most girls can't do pull-ups well,
so they are just required to pull-up and hold it for 90 secs.
Krystin thought that was lame and did the pull-ups.
Yah, she probably embarrassed the boys around her

 Yes.
She got the shirt.
And Yes, this is her second Marine shirt.

As the day moved a long.
IT GOT HOT.
So, HOT.
Like over 90's HOTTTT!

Todd, Logan and I were trying to find shady spots to stay cooler in.
The entire place is surrounded with PINE TREES...
I am SO allergic to them,
so we settled on a nice cement area.

Logan chose to sit directly in the middle of the walk way.
It was funny.

I felt like I was going to PUKE, I was sooo HOT.
Then, it was time for Krystin to run.
Poor Krystin.
Really.

But, she did AMAZING!

They were spraying the girls as they finished.
They had water stations (MUCH NEEDED)
 and
Even a quick rinse station.
 It worked like a charm!
She felt great within minutes

There were a LOT of people that weren't able to finish - too hot,
so the next race they shortened it from 3 miles, to 2!

All-in-all,
Freezing, SUPER HOT, GREAT DAY!
I love you guys!
Great job!
