My New Hairdo

Ok, so I decided the time has come to cut my hair. I needed a change and at the same time was able to do some good. I had 10+ inches cut off my hair and donated it to locks of love. The hair cutter lady cut my hair just as I asked. I love it - its fun and different. Todd said that it's my 'summer cut'. LOL!! As if a haircut is going to make any sort of difference once the thermometer breaks triple digits!!

Easter Weekend (o;

No Easter Weekend would be complete without an Easter Egg hunt for the kids. A really awesome lady from our Church organized an informal hunt on Saturday Morning (all aged children welcome, which my kids were thrilled about). They had fun. I think it is great that they still humor me and like hunting eggs! Yes, the Easter Bunny did hide Eggs at our house Sunday Morning too! The bunny sets up the egg hunt a little differently in our house - She hides 6 colors of eggs and leaves each child a note with which 2 colors belong to them and how many to look for. It has made egg hunting a very enjoyable experience in our house for years! Everything is fair and no one ends up sad. (o;

The girls were pleased with their hunting!

After the hunt Saturday morning we had a cast party thingy to go to for lunch. I was a little worried it would be too warm, but in the shade it was perfect. We had a great time!

Todd and Logan chillin at the party...

We are in family groups during Easter Pageant,
so we are assigned to be with a couple other families
Krystin is posing with one of the kids from our group.
He is a spunky little guy. (o;

Sunday morning we had the opportunity to attend a baby baptism for one of our friend's babies. They live out of state and were here just for the baptism (so family could attend). It was really neat to see them and their beautiful family. We were pretty exhausted from being in Pageant and just relaxed the rest of the day at my Dad's house.

It was really an awesome experience being in Pageant. There are a lot of great people that we were able to meet and perform with, and hopefully through our participation we were able to bring the love and light of Christ to others lives.

Grampa's Treehouse

Well, this last week has been very busy, exhausting and also wonderful participating in pageant. The children were troopers and made it through - they are now officially on Spring Break!!! We are ALL thankful for that. That means Mom and Dad get to sleep in until at least 7am too YEAHHHHHH!! So, after a long week, their Grampa had some fun planned for them. Krystin had told Grampa that she REALLY has always wanted a Treehouse. Kayla and Logan agreed that would be awesome, so of course being my dad he couldn't let that dream go unfulfilled. He picked up the kids after Church on Sunday brought them to his house, took Monday off work, and had them help him build the tree house all day Monday!

The kids were thrilled.

Logan Playing Guitar....

My Logan...

Ok, I couldn't resist posting this pic. Logan is sooo cute - He LOVES to play his guitar. He has a solo in his upcoming performance and was playing it for us the other day. I was sneaky and snapped a pic. Just thought I would share.

Check out the Pageant update below too... (o:

Bring on the Custumes and Make-up!!!

What little Angels our Kids are!!!

Ok, the children are acting!!! :op

Time draws near for Easter Pageant performances to begin. It has been a grueling week of rehearsals every night, but it has been fun too! Kids are pretty exhausted we only got home by 10pm one night this week, most other nights we were gone until between 10:30-11pm. Poor munchkins! We are there a little earlier and a little later than most, because Todd has to get his costume on and they do his make-up also!! I can't help but laugh to see him all decked out with lip stick and eyeliner!!!

Oh, and you just have to love John the Baptist and the Roman Soldiers!
They are awesome!

If you are in the area.... Performances start officially on Weds at 8pm, but there is a public invited dress rehearsal on Tuesday at 7pm. Please dress VERY warmly, bring blankets, hot cocoa and a smile! The Pageant will run Tues-Sat night until Easter with all performance in English - except Friday & Saturday March 14th & 15th. Please come early to get a seat.

Love to everyone!!

Easter Pageant Update

We had our last 'Super Saturday', which should probably be more correctly called 'Super- Long Saturday' this past weekend. The weather was nice, a little warm in the sun, but much better than last year! Unfortunately, I am terribly allergic to the wood chips they have all over the ground and felt slightly miserable as we were traversing over them all day from 7:15am-3:15pm. Kayla and Logan seemed to be allergic too!!! Ugh, Claritin just wasn't cutting it! Hopefully, it won't be too bad from this point onward, because our time on the wood chips will be much more limited. Just rehearsals at night Tues- Sat until Easter.

Here's the stage!

Todd on stage. He is the one in the middle at the top sitting on a throne
(It hasn't gone to his head being the center of attention - at all!) :p
It looks much more majestic when they have their costumes on!

Kids in the tent. Logan had to be dramatic and
demonstrate that he was sneezing a lot! Goofy boy!

Last Supper...

Ok, Honey isn't in the pageant, but she wanted to show off
how toadally cool she can be! What a silly dog! The poor thing humors us...
