Foreign Fruit: Chinese Pomegranate
Ok, this fruit was not super foreign, we love pomegranates.
Although, we hadn't tried these pomegranates before coming here!
They look similar from the outside,
just a different color!
Now I should mention that MOST of the time,
at our local grocery we have NO CLUE what the fruit is.
The label is usually in Chinese,
so while it LOOKED like a pomegranate we were not 100% sure.
The kids voted on what it will look like inside.
They were all sure it was pomegranate like,
and the colors varied from pink to red in guesses.
They were pretty much right on!
Yummy!
Sort of like a sweeter, more mild version of the pomegranate we know!
Also, from a Mom point of view, much better
as it was NOT super staining,
like the American relative!
So, you know - Indy LOVED them as well!!!
