London to Home!

Our Last couple of Days in London...

The city is lined with endless rows of buildings.

and old churches

and signs that,

Well, yah, NO CLUE what that means!

Saturday, 

Todd said - Let's blow this city and find the coast!

Yes, we were having serious OCEAN withdrawal...

So, we hopped on a train...

It was a sweet drive.

an hour and a half later

We arrived in

Brighton

(and YES, it did 'Brighten' my day!)

Charming little Sea Side Town

The Ocean Air rejuvenated my soul 

(and my lungs were pretty happy too)

It wasn't just because we saw a REALLY cute dog either,

but yah it was cool too!

Hmn, no sand - just rocks!

 Didn't deter young love though.

 Or Paddle Boarders

Oh man,
Temptation - Ice Cream - YUM!

Doughnuts?
Lunch, YES!

They look sweet and innocent flying don't they....
Wrong! One of those flying turkeys smacked me upside the head with its wing
and STOLE my doughnut right out of my hand.
It was an aerial attack.
Swoop, smack, snag and fly away!
Rude, but funny as heck!

Where they keep the dragons....

Yes, perfect follow up to a doughnut for lunch - ice cream!

and ...
We found Waldo!

On our way out....
We saw something we hadn't seen before.
Roasting Chestnuts!
Yes, we had to try it and we are hooked!

Hmn?!

Then we headed back...

Apparently, we didn't have enough sugar,
because after dinner we shared this.
Waffles are a HUGE dessert item, in London!

We headed home Sunday night.
Arrived back in our house after 9pm,
and braced for a very busy week!
