This past week has been interesting!
Logan & Krystin ran in TWO Cross Country Meets -
one Thurs, the other Saturday...
My washing machine decided it was time to check out,
and then my computer... Seriously - RUDE!
Todd got me a new Washer & Dryer (SWEET)
& a New Laptop!
Yes, we did know that it was getting near time to replace both,
but they could have spaced it out a little bit.
Within a few days is a bit much...
What can you do?!!
Anyhow, last Thursday, Logan & Krystin had a "cluster" meet. They leave school on buses just before lunch and head over to the meet site! I stopped over to the school, and was able to catch Kay practicing lines with her Advanced Drama Class! So CUTE!! The look on her face when she looked over and saw me taking pics - PRICELESS!
Kay was funny. She told her friend, "Oh, don't worry this is my Mom. She is 'addicted' to life." She went on to explain that I am addicted to taking pictures of her and her siblings, so just smile. Hmn, she might be on to something there??? Well, I can't help it if they are so cute, and I want to capture every moment of cuteness while I can.
Anyhow, back to the the meet - At clusters they don't give out medals. It is a little less formal, but Logan came in THIRD (just barely missed second), so he was a little bummed about the no medal thing. Next time! He was pretty awesome.
Good luck hug before the run!
They are pretty cute!
Varsity meditation table.
Logan on the heals of the 2nd place runner!
The quality isn't great, but it is so funny to me. The other kid looks like he is dying, and Logan is smiling! Logan always finishes with a smile!
Poor Krystin, she had record time for her, but...
They changed the course, from what they practiced just a few days prior (due to mud), and they were SUPPOSED to have people at the different points to show them where to go...
Well, someone messed up and didn't get there in time (even though Krystin's group was the third group to run) and they ended up running and extra 3/4's of a mile. The freshman girls were not happy, and their times were all messed up. They should have had all the girls complete the extended version, but instead just started telling girls to turn around, so the fastest girls ended up in the back. It was a bit of a mess. They did record the girls times at the mile marker, so Krystin knows she was running at record pace for her! Great Job Baby!
Go Krystin!
Then, Friday morning first thing...
Logan headed out to another meet with the Varsity boys!
Coach took the top 12 boys to a Varsity meet in Fresno.
Logan's very first Varsity Meet!!!
We are SO PROUD OF HIM!
We went up too.
Which meant we drove
and drove, and drove...
The GPS said 4hours 15 mins...
NOPE! It took us just over 5up, and 6 back...
All I have to say is AVOID THE 5!
We arrived up there Friday evening, and after dinner met up with Logan and his team. They were at Boomer's an entertainment type place.
We watched Logan drive!
which was scary reminder that
he is almost old enough to get his permit.
Oh, and in case you are wondering...
The boys are CRAZY!
The one on the left is the fastest guy on the team,
and the other is another Senior that finished with Logan in pic below!
Yes, they wore Banana costumes all night...
and danced.... and ... ya!
and then we played some mini golf with him!
really fun!
The next morning was the meet!
It was held at a beautiful Park!
Todd showed his school Spirit!
The boys before the meet
Logan's race was insane!
He ran Junior Varsity.
There were 420 boys in the race.
He hadn't run JV before and wasn't sure what to expect.
The starting line!
Logan would have been the first one in from our school,
but he is so sweet that he likes to motivate the other team-members to 'HIT IT!'
Logan's on the left in black, banana boy on right!
He actually finished with the same time
as the Senior he was pushing to go faster at the end!
(Although, Logan let him cross first)
He is the sweetest team player I have ever met!
Right after he crossed the finish LINE!
GO LOGAN!! Barely winded and still smiling?!
Amazing!
Krystin had a meet Saturday morning as well, back at home.
We were SUPER SAD to miss it!
Apparently, the course was a bit brutal with tree roots jumping out on to the path...
One grabbed Krystin's foot, but didn't slow her down!
She still got an excellent time! (:
Only 3 more meet for the season!
Should be interesting...
