Hong Kong is very Magical

Everywhere you look, 

you are surrounded by Ocean and Mountains

Unreal even...

What makes it a little more magical?

Because let me tell you, 

IT IS FLIPPIN HOT out there...

really HUMID!

and Hot

You kind of just feel wet, sticky and hot, euwww....

Leads to a very attractive Tammy, honestly, ask Todd (:

He thinks it is "Hot", get it?! :p

Well, Todd can only take sooo much of how 'hot' I get outside, 

so we have been MOSTLY avoiding going outside for extended periods.

But, before we returned, we had to make one more trip out to down town last night

We HAD to go to Temple Street, before our return.

Temple Street has an outside night Market

It is quite a site to see.

The hustle, the bustle, the haggling

The wall to wall people, all glistening and moist, with a special scent of unshoweredness,  rubbing arms and other body parts against yours, as you pass through the tightly woven tables as you traverse the street.... Amazing, is the only word that truly sums up the experience.

BTW, Todd and I are the WORST hagglers ever.

I hate HAGGLING, hate it, and Todd seems to share my sentiment.

Just tell me how much it is, please.

Apparently, walking away when you don't like the price or want something is akin to haggling, we have learned.. Really.  We weren't haggling, we just didn't want it.  We aren't that good, LOL!  It is really strange to walk away and have someone that doesn't speak more than a couple words of English, chase you down with a calculator typing in lower and lower prices in the calculator, and waving it in your face.  STRANGE and a little intimidating.

The journey to Temple Street is an adventure unto itself

I do Love the trees surrounded by the city.

 The city is VERY alive and busy.

 People EVERYWHERE!

 McDonald's 24 hours a day!  

Oh My Gosh, and they serve Breakfast all day too.

Craziness...

Yet, the majority of the population is rail thin, must be all the walking in the heat. 

They must sweat off all that fat.

Yay!  Finally!

Welcome to the Night Market

(dying of heat at this point, btw)

 We had fun looking around, soaking in the experience, feeling the heartbeat of this city.  Even if after about 5 minutes I was ready to go, yah I kinda felt like I was going to puke between the humidity, heat and did I mention downtown kinda smells like, uhm, well...   Like a used Andy Gump, that was left in the sun too long (best description I can give).  Well, not constantly, just  in waves, you know like when the wind stops blowing. Did I mention the wind doesn't really blow on Temple street?  Darn all those people flushing at the same time, euwww!  There are air vents from the sewers that open to the street, that must be the cause.  

Did I ever mention, I have never had the desire to live in a big city? 

 Most densely populated area in the world and all! 

 I am sooo glad we are staying on Lantau island, not down town, it smells pretty good over here! 

Fewer people flushing, that is my guess, and I am sticking with it! 

:p Yay!

Upon return to our hotel, I was reminded what a MIRACLE air conditioning is, that and showers whenever you want.  We didn't get back 'til about midnight.  All that training and busing and such, but we made it.

Oh, and I swear I am not obsessed.

Ok, maybe a little, but just because I miss mine...
