PINK DOLPHINS!!!!

Anyone that knows me,
knows my love for animals.
So, when I was here last time and was told that there were PINK dolphins here,
I really wanted to experience these divine little creatures...
Sadly, do to the build up of this area their number has greatly dwindled.
There are, we were told only about 75 left here. :(

Poor little magical creatures...

Our goal to see these guys!

We were told to meet at the Tung Chung Pier, which is RIGHT by our hotel.
Honestly, I didn't even think it was in operation.
Being a little over excited we got there at 8:40am, needed to be there at 9:30am
Luckily, Todd is quite use to my early tendencies.

While we waited we were entertained by this guy
 Cat on a leash.
Don't see that everyday!
(that is the guy that runs the pier)
I am guessing it is for the cat's protection (as to not become dinner)

Thought this was an interesting contrast
of then and now.
(yes, he is bailing water out of the boat)

We were the only ones waiting at the Pier, and Todd teased me that maybe no dolphins for me.
Then the boat showed up! YAY!
 Boat boarding at little pier
Everyone else was picked up in town and brought in on a bus!
So, no it was not just us
bye pier

 Hi from boat
Then we watched and watched and waited

and had a sighting!
Let me tell you.  They are seriously hard to catch in the camera.  They are few and far between and only come up for a brief moment to say hi, then disappear again for a long time!
We were VERY fortunate today was beautiful.
It is sunny and not raining.
Which did mean, SUPER HOT and Humid!
Great for dolphin viewing though.
 Todd looked cute

 Little dolphin face

We were very lucky and saw a Bunch of dolphins.
They said we would be lucky to see 3 or 4.
Friday they only saw 2.
Today they were all around the boat,
but at just enough of a distance that it was hard to catch in the camera!

It was a great, albeit HOT morning! (:

I really tried to video them. I did.
But, the boat was VERY bumpy, and they just peak out and go away, so just look at the pic at the top and use your imagination, k?
