On the last day of school, there was their big awards ceremony.
We received a separate invitation on behalf of Logan and one for Krystin.
Todd and I were excited to able to attend and celebrate their success!!!
They were presenting the sports awards and then got to the M.V.P. awards.
MVP for Cross Country Senior girls (their version of Varsity) - Krystin Haser!! Yay!!
Then shortly there after they announced that...
MVP for Cross Country Senior boys - Logan Haser!!! Wooo!!
The presenter was funny and said, "Yes, they are related!"...
Krystin was also awarded the MVP for Senior Track as well! Lightning bug!
It is crazy considering the fact that neither of them had time to train more than a couple times a week.
You have to say something for muscle memory.
Krystin also was presented with a very special award:
"A Harvard book Award"
She had to attend a special evening earlier in the year, where Harvard Book club presented the awards.
It was for the top students! Nice Krystin!
They also award Excellence awards to the top students in each area.
Logan won an excellence award in:
Computer Science & English Literature
Krystin won excellence awards in:
English Literature & AP World History
They have the school separated into houses.
Tigers
Dragons (Logan)
Phoenix (Krystin)
Logan was an elected representative for his house, the Dragons. All year they have competitions between the houses. This year the Dragons won. Since Logan was a representative he was able to go up with the other representatives and accept the trophy! Very nice!
The one award that BOTH Krystin and Logan achieved that was probably the hardest:
The Principals Honor Roll
It is the award for the students with the highest GPAs.
Their course schedule was intense this year, 4-5 hours a night of sleep was typical. Their classes were challenging. They both participated in multiple extra curricular activities, and volunteered too. As well as the fact that just commuting to and from school took about 3 hours a day. That accompanied with the fact that they had to adjust to a new country, new expectations, new learning styles and even students. They truly made us proud as they met every challenge with flying colors!
Hong Kong is very Hot this time of year, glad the awards were inside!
Even if we did end up waiting outside for a while afterwards!
Logan & Krystin we are so proud of you!!
