FInals! Finally!!! (:

Thank HEAVEN,
Track finals are OVER!

Logan and Krystin worked VERY hard this season!
It was super awesome to watch them, albeit exhausting!

So, Finals were at the same school on Friday,
as the prelims on Tuesday.
Remember - 94-95 degrees on Tues?
Well, Friday 60 degrees - freezing (poor runners!)

Meet started at 4

Krystin was only assigned to run the 4x400 (remember)?
Well, that is the last event of the night (8:40pm).
So, we were like - PHEW - one race that we don't have to be there from beginning to end...!!!
Nope!  Logan was an alternate for the mile, and they needed him,
which of course was the first event.
My little bookends.

Todd and I grabbed Kay at 3 and headed over there.

The cheering squad!

Logan's leg is REALLY hurting, and yet he still ran a sub 5 mile!
Blazing fast!

Krystin was alternate for the 400 and 200meters.
She is STILL COUGHING all day/night,
so I wasn't super sad that she was missing out on running extra events.
Yet, she is so dedicated she kept checking in with the clerk of the court,
and while she didn't get to run the 400 (her best event),
she did get to run the 200 as an alternate!
So Proud of her determination!

After waiting in the COLD all night,
Finally her main event -
The LAST event of the night -
The 4x400

Here she is with her relay team
(COUGHING)
 and still coughing...
 ...
but despite her inability to breath well,
She was INSANELY fast!
In fact, we think she beat her PR (personal record!)

Her team won Second Place in League Finals
against some really STIFF competition.

Yes, she left with some BLING!

 Last, After race check-in/Sign-out
Funny thing - These are pis of the girl's team sign-out.
Very orederly, two lines, everyone signs out...
Then, parents have to sign them out on a separate sheet...
Boys team - gather in a big circle -call roll - done.
(MUCH FASTER!)

By the time we got home it was 10:30pm,
and we had ice cream to celebrate a great season!

Now, they get a two-week break and Cross Country training starts...
