Making Krystin's Dreams Come True!

Krystin has big dreams. 

Honestly, from the time she was tiny this kid was packed full of ambition, drive, and boundless determination to make a difference.  She has always been focused on animal welfare.  She (much like her big sister) would fall asleep as a young child with her nose in animal encyclopedias.  No amount of knowledge could quench her thirst to know more about our co-inhibitors of our beautiful planet.  However, as she grew up her awareness of the need for conservation became more and more acute.  Daily she would show me this creature or that for which she would with nothing less than devastation in her face explain to me how this beautiful creature was either endangered (with full explanation as to why) or no longer on this planet with us...  

She began to look into Wildlife Conservation as her life's pursuit.  Many great things have been brought to pass through the effort of conservationist, but so much more is needed, and she wants to be part of that change.

For example, this is an Ultramarine Lorikeet.  This beautiful, sweet little creature is currently endangered, due to human's introduction of the black rat (which climbs their trees and eats their eggs).

They are predicted to be extinct within the next 20 years...

Is now no longer walking on this planet with us...  Declared Extinct as of November 2013...

Seriously, the world NEEDS Krystin's help now!

After we moved to Hong Kong, she gained an even greater appreciation for the role that International Relations can play in the conservation effort.  In Asia the devastation or the lack of conservation is seen everywhere we look.  This as a high school student, finalizing her college choices really has impacted her decision as to what and where she wants to study.

Currently, she is looking into a few different Universities.  Each of which has a focus on International Relations and Environment.  Her first choice is France, as she has been studying French on her own (as it is not offered here) for the past 4 years.  She writes in French, reads in French, and we all listen to her French music. (;  

Being that University is very expensive, she is currently trying to raise money to help her dream come true.  Her dream to make a difference on this planet for the helpless creatures that we share this world with.

One of her other passions is art.
