Lamma Island w/ Joshua

Lamma Island is the furthest outlying island in Hong Kong.
There are no cars on the island, just a few golf cart type of contraptions.
Most people walk or bike for transit.
There is a hiking trail from one side to the other, many little shops, and sea food restaurants.
It is really a beautiful hiking trail, so since Logan, Krystin and Josh are all runners and love the outdoors it was a MUST!

We headed down to the Central Piers!

Ok, and stopped to play with the Pandas

These three are awesome!
Just imagine them singing, "We are off to see the wizard..."

True to Hong Kong fashion it was very gray...

Yet, something caught their eye.

A Black Kite.
(Not like a kite with a string, a bird type.
I am probably misspelling it, but just know it is very big.)

on the Ferry that glides on the water.

Beautiful day as we arrived!

Hong Kong Waffles, Lamma Island style.

Josh found his church!

Josh defied gravity.

Shoot.  Guess we should have brought the dogs!

There is a beautiful little beach along the path.

People kept taking pics of Josh and Krystin.

Josh wanted to going swimming, to Hong Kong people 70 degrees is like winter.
He checked out the water.

He decided it wasn't THAT cold!

Yah, he is tough! Logan wanted to go in to, but was still getting over his cold..

Todd was worried.

Logan was more concerned.

What was Krystin doing while Josh swam?
Studying.
She does that a lot.

Remind me again why we take RUNNERS hiking?
Oh man. They make me feel out of shape!

The view was compensating though.

 Yay! We made it!

Josh was extra happy about conquering the mountain!

Yah the runners were showing off!

The found a used book stand!

Josh braved the Bat cave.
There weren't any bats, but I was sure they were just hiding.
He told me not to worry, cause he is BATMAN. LOL!

Josh and KC paid the respects.

We finished our hike with our tradition of going to Rainbow Seafood Restaurant.

Then we took the Rainbow boat back to HK proper.

and went cricket hunting again.

Did I mention during Chinese New Year Crickets are Lucky?
Yes, they are lucky, which means you can not FIND THEM ANYWHERE...
Which means your Bearded dragon gets very HUNGRY and sad....
Very sad...  She humored us and ate some meal worms and some grasshoppers ,but only one time each...   It was a stressful week for the lizard.

Josh got to experience some downtown Mong KoK at night
and what it is like to go hunting for crickets.
