4 day WEEKEND!

The kids, FINALLY, had a couple days off.   This is their first long weekend, since school started!   Long overdue, if you ask me. (:    We are all exhausted from the business of life, so I thought a little down time would be nice.  The weather is beautiful right now, mid to high 70's.  Allergies are acting up a bit with the warm Santa Ana winds blowing, but still beautiful....

Down time, just means no 'school' - still busy...
Krystin participates, when her schedule allows
in a Leadership group called "Women in Oceanography"
(or "girls in oceanography")
She is on a planning committee that is organizing a big event to heighten the awareness of Marine biology and sciences, especially for young women.  She loves it!
She had to race there, from a friends house.  She and her cross country friend were making special shirts for the race this weekend.
The kids and I had a "French" Brunch.
Logan and Krystin had some deep tissue work done...
Logan has been training with Varsity and is feeling it!
Krystin was told to take another week and HEAL too.
Cross country is brutal, who knew?!

I love outdoor adventures, especially with a bit of education and history too, so I took the kids to the Mission.
Actually, went twice - Kay didn't come the first time.

Krystin communicating with the Koi

Logan speaking the Koi's language!  I am not kidding the Koi mimicked him!

Logan had a special "CIF only" Pasta Party Friday Night, while Kay was at Jiu-Jitzu...

We spent all day Saturday at CIF- Prelims!
Logan's first CIF meet.
He was the first alternate, and didn't have to run - this time,
but he was ready and still earned a PATCH!

We took the kids to dinner and a Movie.
We haven't been able to do that in MONTHS...

Oh, and the kids and I played at IKEA...
My kids are seriously FUNNY!

Kayla was reading them a story in Swedish!

Back to the mission with Kay...
Lo & KC explaining the finer art of Koi communication!
Kayla was a natural!
We checked out the cool Cathedral-like Chapel

 explored the old buildings...

 and very small door frames

Logan tormented the girls....  You figure out how...
 and just enjoyed the day...

maybe a little too much!  (:

Other than Lily finding, and EATING a stick of butter and subsequently vomiting for an entire day, which did make me want to go to IKEA and get some candles, and Todd leaving for DC today (cuz he did) it was a nice weekend....

Why am I so tired???
