First week in Hong Kong

The first week we were here
It was Hot,
but NOT as hot as now!

The girls (and one day even Logan)
went exploring downtown multiple times.
Went shopping, got treats, discovered and had fun!

One of the best parts of Hong Kong, is how safe and easy it is to navigate around the country.  They have actually gotten really good at map reading. I am so proud!

We, also, went to Disneyland and the movies.
Brain is crispy.  What did we see...??
Shute.  What was it.  Oh ... my brain is mushy... ugh
Wait, I remember - The Huntsman!
Ok, in the US the start time of a movie is usually at least 10 mins after the posted time.  Out here, I swear they start EARLY, no commercials.  Do NOT be late.  Not even a moment.  One other thing that they do differently is you pick your assigned seat when you buy the ticket.  Anyhow, the posted time online showed 10 mins later than the actual time and we missed the first 5 mins.  I don't know what happened, usually we are early.
I think it is crazy you can see US movies out here!
Usually, right about the same time as they are released in the US.
Not every movie, but the big ones.
The kids also saw a Japanese movie in 3D with English subtitles.
Oh, and you can keep the 3D glasses and aren't charged for them each time you see a 3D movie.  Just bring them back with you, makes sense!

The kids didn't give me pics from the journey(s),
but I went downtown with Krystin one day.
In search of a lizard.
Yes, we still owe her a lizard,
as we couldn't bring Flynn... :(

We had heard that there were lizards shops in Causeway bay.
We were not sure where though...
So we metro'd down.

Oh and HK Time Square is right there, btw

 We walked and searched...
Finally, someone said they knew what we were talking about.
and...
Sent us to this shop.
See the bunny sign?
(We thought, well Bunny's are pets - pet shop, Ok!)
 Here is a closer look...
There is stair case between the stores.
 on this road
and you follow the cute little bunnies up the stairs
 Like 4 FLIGHTS of stairs
and then you finally reach the CUTEST bunny store.
They do NOT like pictures to be taken, sorry.
But they even have happy little bunny music playing.
Cutest little bunnies ever!
But, NO lizards....
(don't worry, Krystin and Kayla found the MOTHER load the next day)
We haven't adopted a lizard yet though.

Oh, and we got street waffles.
They are SO good.
I want one RIGHT NOW!
(but it is too hot out!)

The girls discovered a street called

Holy Moly.  It is crazy!
An entire street lined with shops that sell fish and reptiles.
With a few pups/kitties sprinkled in.
Even a token bird store.
Click on the link above for a peek.

Once we get fully settled in.
We will get Krystin her little friend from down there for sure!

Where we live there are a few hair cutting places,
and Logan NEEDED a haircut.
For the first time ever,
I gave Logan cash and told him to take care of business.

I was so proud of him.
He went down there
and asked the lady
for "An Asian Hair Cut"
and she totally gave him one!
Love it!
Probably, my favorite haircut, yet.

Quick, ADD detour, Cute Puppy!
Lily can pull the tail (string) on the ferret and make it wriggle around.
So totally funny!

 Ok, back to Logan's Hair.
Cute right?
Well, and with those adorable little bird girls, WOW!
 Awww!

The girls have had SO much fun trying different fruit.
That is something, my Kay is not picky about.
She likes FRUIT! YAY!
She actually enjoys trying different types.
They loved these Thailand Rombutans. (Sp?)

The birds loved it too, if you were wondering.

These pics were taken in the first flat (small 2 bedroom),
before we had the second one.
It was very cozy with the five us and the 4 pets.

Logan and Krystin had one more assignment to complete for art.
They had to complete then scan in and email their finished work.
This is Logan's.
I don't have Krystin's, but if she sends it to me I will add it!

Ok.  So that sort of covers our first week in Hong Kong.
