Hong Kong - Family Style (4)

Last Day in Hong Kong - Booo

In the morning we had to check out of our Hotel room.
We were able to leave our stuff with the concierge,
but that meant everything had to be packed up before we headed out.

We started off the day by heading to the
Tai O Fishing Village!

Todd bought me this little Duffy guy from HKD,
and he wanted to come too.

My cute girls waiting for the bus...

Hong Kong Bus drivers only have one speed...
FAST!
Cliffs tiny two lane roads, no matter.  FAST
It is a bit terrifying...
 Yay!  Made it!

 Street side market
Dried fish anyone.
Yes, it smells like you would imagine.

 amazing stilt houses

 A 'Taoist Temple'

 Make a Wish

Normally, I would not laugh if my child made that hand gesture!
But the 'God' was....
They thought that was the funniest thing.
Yes.  I was SUPER Happy to be there with my family

Garbage Pail Kitties.
Highly entertaining while you are waiting for yet another bus.
Off to the GIANT Buddha in the sky

They had a warrior to represent each Chinese Year.
So, we each took pics with our warrior.

Kayla - Rooster
 Wait!  Cute dog alert.

Logan - Pig

Krystin and Todd - Rat

Tamara -  Ox (poor Duffy was scared)

 SOO Much incense...
it was INTENSE

 Buddhist Temple (part one)

real monks.  Logan thought they were pretty cool

 Temple (part 2)

You can see the Giant Buddha from the main temple

 Lunch area.
The monks make a delish Vegetarian Lunch!

I wonder how many people they have lost to these steps.
They are like death!

Great view from the top though.
Buddha is waiting to welcome you!

 CUTE!

sweet...

On the way back down we walked through the cute little
Village.

they had cable cars decked out as different places in the world

Brasil..
and they had a kids dream come true
an entire store of just coin vending machines...
Dangerous

After all that.
We headed back to the mall and then the airport ...
Had   Dessert - ONE MORE TIME
(well maybe 2 times, but they were different things that we can't get out here, so it doesn't count)

Then we journeyed home.

and honestly
It was the BEST Long flight I have been on.
Not a peep from anyone.
Quiet.
Perfect.
No lights.
Just peace...

Sweet...

Thanks to my Dad for keeping the pets all loved and alive while we were gone! (:

and Yes, I miss Hong Kong already...
