I really did. My camera is busting at the seems to download (or is upload?) some pictures.... So... hopefully the cable will be here soon! (:
In the mean time, here is a quick update:
Indoor plumbing... Sounds awesome, really it does. I can't say I don't love taking showers or flushing toilets or any of those things...
But, dang it when something goes wrong - What a nightmare!!!!
---- So, for ONE week now we have had a leak in Logan's room (the only bedroom downstairs). A slab leak of some sort. Plumbers have have been tearing up the downstairs... Grrr.
- Bathroom downstairs no longer usable HUGE hole in the floor and water to toilet shut off.
- Logan's room still a swamp, his things are now all over the house. Awesome. We are in the middle of moving them to the upstairs guest room, aka, Logan's new room.
- TV room - pulled up carpet, entertainment center in pieces.. Yes... it is a mess. really...
And the leak is still there.... They are now thinking that they are going to have discontinue one line altogether and reroute it to another line. Wow, that sounds crazy, huh? Well, it is worse than I thought. Meaning tearing up another wall and the kitchen. Oh the joys of indoor plumbing!!! It does give you an appreciation, though, of the inner workings of the house and what has been carefully placed beneath the ground and how important they are to your family's 'life style'...
What I am grateful for: 2 bathrooms upstairs, a place to move Logan too, and currently that we are renting... This is not going to be cheap to fix... :(
In other news:
Kayla is driving. Yes, Driving, like by herself, which equals the prayer tally in the Haser house has gone up significantly since Sept. 28th (the day she officially got her license).
Logan is in Cross country and is an awesome runner. Todd and I have thoroughly enjoyed being able to attend his meets. He is a motivation to us!
Krystin is our 'Goodwill' ambassador and is undertaking the daunting task of making 1000 cranes (paper that is) to send to an injured teen. You know to grant him a wish. Her sister and brother have been graciously helping her without complaint! (:
Tamara is apparently VERY allergic to antibacterial soap... Yes, how can that be?! That is the mystery that is currently trying to be solved in the Haser house, and a blog for another day.
Todd is absolutely adorable. Really. I know I might have a 'slight' biased opinion, but it's true and you know it!
Well, better go finish moving more Logan's stuff upstairs. (:

So sorry to hear about your swampy mess. Sounds like a great blessing that you are renting right now.
Yucky plumbing problems! I am so sorry! Sounds like you guys are doing great, though! Did you stop homeschooling?
